Directions
Approaching from the M25
Exit the M25 at Junction 8 and follow the signs for Reigate A217
Proceed down Reigate Hill under the foot and past the Bridge House Hotel. As you approach a right hand bend – marked with a sharp bend, and chevron signs (note the chevrons as this is where you will eventually exit) and prepare to turn right after the bend.
Turn right before the Esso Petrol station and onto Beech Road – note this road is marked as private but proceed.
Approaching from from Reigate
leave Reigate on the A217 following the signs for London/Sutton and the M25. You will cross a level crossing and proceed up Reigate Hill towards the M25.
You will pass a speed camera on the opposite site of the road, and continue past the junction with Raglan Road until you find an Esso petrol station on your left. Turn left just after the Esso Petrol station and enter Beech Road – note this road is marked as private but proceed.
Once on beach Road…
Follow Beech Road until you take the right turn onto Underhill Park Road. Look out for a junction on the right onto a lane. If you reach the Pilgrams Way and end of the road you have gone too far. Turn a hard 90 degree right unto the lane and proceed.
You will be on a narrow single track lane with walls/fences either side of you.
Proceed down the lane and Jordan Heights will be on your left hand side. You will notice the track widens out where there are some parking bays.
When leaving the campsite
As you exit Jordan Heights through the gate you will want to to turn left. Continue down the lane and a few moments later you will arrive at Reigate Hill again just north of the Esso Petrol Station and the Beech Road turning you originally took.
You will be joining the A217 – At this junction turn left towards London and Junction 8 of the M25, turn right towards Regiate.
Public Transport
Busses
Metro Bus 460 (Epsom to Crawley) and Metro bus 420 (Sutton to Crawley) pass down Reigate Hill. The bus stop is by Reigate Manor Hotel just near the Esso Petrol Station.
Trains
Reigate Train station is approximately 18mins walk from Jordan Heights with regular services west on the North Downs line towards Guilford or East to Redhill where you will find connections to London, Brighton, Gatwick Airport and Tonbridge.
Access
There is parking immediately at the site for 4 vehicles, there is a bay suitable for 3 cars right next to the entrance gate, and slightly further down the lane a bay for a minibus/van.
Just by the main entrance gate there is a level platform for unloading any equipment before you carry it up the hill to the site.
Please don’t block the lane
Additional parking is available on Beech Road, there are parking permits that can be completed and left on your vehicle dashboard while you are at the site.
It’s important to note that there is no vehicle access directly to the site. Access is on foot up the ‘zig zag’ path which climbs up reigate hill to the Jordan Heights Campsite and Activity Centre. Any equipment you bring to the site will need to be carried up the ‘zig zag’ path.
That makes Jordan heights unfortunately not suitable for those with mobility issues or require a wheelchair.
If you have not camped at the site before we will require you to do a site visit before confirming your booking.
Drop off and collection
If you have parents dropping of children at the site either for a section meeting and activities, day camp or weekend camp we recommend you don’t have parents drop their children on the lane directly at the site.We operate a one way system with cars coming in from Underhill Park Road and departing via Reigate Hill as there are no passing places in the lane.
Either agree a meeting point where Underhill park Road joins Reigate Hill Path and the lane to the site //jokes.dash.legend where cars can easily turn at the end of Underhill Park Road.
Or the junction of Beech Road and Reigate Hill where the Esso Petrol Station is located //roses.gains/trends however this is near the busy A217 Reigate Hill Road.
